Terms of Service

These Terms of Service govern your use of the Family Safety mobile application and related services. Please read them carefully before using the app.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using Family Safety, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the app after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

2. Description of Service

Family Safety is a mobile application that allows users to create circles with trusted contacts, share live location, define safe zones, send check-ins, and receive arrival and departure alerts. Features may change over time.

3. Eligibility

  • You must be at least 13 years old to create an account.
  • If you are under 18, you must have the consent of a parent or legal guardian.
  • You are responsible for ensuring any circle member you invite meets these requirements or has appropriate parental consent.

4. Account Responsibilities

  • You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials.
  • You are responsible for all activities that occur under your account.
  • You must provide accurate information and keep it up to date.
  • Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use Family Safety to:

  • Track any person without their knowledge or consent.
  • Harass, stalk, or harm any individual.
  • Violate any applicable law or regulation.
  • Interfere with or disrupt the service or servers connected to it.
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the service.
  • Reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the app.

Family Safety is designed for consensual family and trusted-group safety. Any use for unauthorized surveillance is strictly prohibited and may result in account termination.

6. Location and Permissions

Core features of Family Safety require you to grant location permissions, including background location. By granting these permissions you acknowledge that location data will be processed as described in our Privacy Policy.

You are solely responsible for obtaining proper consent from any circle member whose location is shared through the service.

7. Intellectual Property

All content, features, and functionality of Family Safety — including but not limited to the app, text, graphics, icons, and code — are the exclusive property of the developer and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, or create derivative works from any part of the app without prior written consent.

8. Subscriptions and Payments

Certain features may require a paid subscription. Subscriptions are processed through the Apple App Store or Google Play. All purchases are subject to the applicable platform's terms.

  • Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled before the renewal date.
  • Refunds are governed by the applicable app store policy.
  • We reserve the right to change pricing with reasonable notice.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

Family Safety is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.

We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that location data will be accurate at all times. Do not rely solely on Family Safety for emergency situations — always contact emergency services when safety is at risk.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, the developer shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of profits, or personal injury, arising out of or in connection with your use of Family Safety.

11. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time, with or without notice, for conduct that we believe violates these Terms or is harmful to other users, us, or third parties.

You may delete your account at any time. See our Account Deletion page for instructions.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with applicable law. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in the developer's jurisdiction.
